Sympathy Card

Wow, posting a photo wasn't that difficult.  Could it be that I will be able to figure out this blog thing??

I am normally an " in the background kind of person".  I have been inspired by so many wonderful folks via blogs, you tube and face book that I finally got the courage to let people know I have started a blog.

Yikes, what was I thinking!  I have to admit while it is scary  (because what if no one likes my work) it feels good to put myself out there.

Sometime ago my boss had a death in her family and I made her this card.  I like the tone on tone look as well as the pearls.  She has a thing about pearls and wears them often.  Not sure if she realized I designed the card based on her likes, but it made me feel good to know that it was special just for her.

The paper is retired Stampin Up paper and the stamp is also from SU.  The flowers are from my stash and This is the first stick pin I ever put on a card, the pearls are from Michael s.
Inside of the card
Been trying to focus on designing the inside of my cards more.  In the past I only focused on the outside.  Hope you like this.

Unfortunately it seems I always need to have a sympathy card on hand.  This card would look good in a variety of colors.

Anniversary Card

Anniversary Card
Here's a simple card I made awhile ago for a friend at work.  She loved it.  The picture does not do the sparkle justice.  The papers are from Stampin up and I used SU and Spellbinder dies on the card.  I am really loving using flowers on cards, they add a lot of character and interest.
Here's the inside.  I had to add more sparkle!  Dont you just love anything that sparkles or shines.  The rhinestones are from Stampin Up.
Happy Friday!  It's been a long week, the weather is super cold.  Tomorrow I am going over to a friends house to make cards!  Should be a lot of fun.  However, I never know what to pack and am not very good at being productive outside of my own craft room.  Later tonight I hope to post some cards I have made in the past.

Day One Here we go!

I finally decided to start a blog about crafting and my life.  This is will something I do when I have time and the purpose is to share all of the great ideas that have been taught to me by others.  My first challenge is to figure out how to set the background of my blog.  Wish me luck!
